Cheminée Designs' custom work includes fireplace surrounds, columns, and anything else you can imagine.  Styles range from simple to ornate, from garden motifs to trophy rooms.

It all starts with an idea....

Trophy Room

For this trophy room fireplace outside of Breckenridge, the owners wanted our Black Forest molding to frame the fireplace mantel.  

Mountain Alpine

For a custom home in Crested Butte, the owner wanted an "obscene number of flowers."  We carried the theme to the 12-foot wide surround, starting with lichens and pine cones on the column bases.  Vines of ivy and berries climb up the columns, culminating in a 12.5 foot wide, 20 inch deep, 700-pound mantel overflowing with vines, berries, lichen, flowers, and hummingbirds.  We do not have pictures available due to the owner's concerns for privacy.  

Evergreen

For a fireplace in Evergreen, the owner wanted to completely redesign a 70s-style fireplace.  The project included expanding the firebox, eliminating the raised stone hearth, and incorporating two antique foo dogs from the top of a Chinese temple.  Custom bases for the foo dogs provided floor-to-mantel columns and were finished to match the foo dogs, providing seamless integration.  Pine cones integrated into the firebox trim and baseboards carry the theme throughout the fireplace and into the room.
